Good company with great people. However, their "explore" rate program is a joke. I'm wondering if they will get rid of it altogether since the rate is rarely available.. anywhere. Most of the time I find the "explore friends" rate which is usually a small percentage off the regular rate.

I think Marriott are status conscious or prefer specific ethnicity/race for employment.

Upon visiting the Marriot website, I was invited to speak with a recruiter via a side text app. The app had a photo of a woman named Olivia. Eventually, even the responder admitted it was an AI bot and NOT a real woman. Why do companies treat potential employees like fools by trying to spin the lie that a bot is a woman with a photo? This is dishonest and lacks integrity. I won't get involved with a company that can't be honest with me in basic interactions before I pursue potential employment. If it's a BOT, don't use a human photo. That is FRAUD. I'm concerned about the abuse that this lie creates going forward, for all interactions. I deserve to be treated with honesty and respect until I prove unworthy of these benefits. I am innocent until proven otherwise. You won't be successful long-term by treating people like fools and lying to them in simple interactions. I no longer trust the Marriot empire. Nor should you.

I'm former Marriott employee. Used to be proud of Marriott culture, but not any more. Applied for a management position at the Desert Ridge Marriott two weeks ago from their career web site. Went to their job fair today and I was rudely told that the position has been closed since 6 weeks ago. Did not care for HR personnel's unfriendly, unprofessional, and inhospitable attitude. Disappointing.

Marriot lies, they only take people they know and who have connections ,,i was disqualified because of my race and background ,,its so sad they talk about diversity ,,,they should be honest ,,it saves everyones time ,,,i shouldnt be wasting my time applying when they only take people they know..they should write on their page that we accept applicants we know
